Undergraduate in BA Fine Arts (Kathmandu University)

Bachelor in Fine Arts is the degree about education in visual or performing arts. Its also called as Bachelor of Creative Arts. This degree is dedicated to those students who plan to achieve professional career in art or to prepare for special study. This degree is practice based course in creative visual arts aimed at ambitious, motivated, imaginative individuals. It helps to develop and exhibit an exciting body of studio practice and acquire the professional, intellectual and practical as well as theoretical skills of students. This degree is four year programme allows to fully develop ideas to deepen knowledge of art history and contemporary art in students and to undertake a period of study at one of our partner universities abroad.


Objective

  • To develop skill of students to produce works of art and design
  • To maximize knowledge and understanding of Nepalese art and of other civilization to the top
  • To know the history, theory as well as to get practice of visual and media arts
  • To prepare arts with originality and depth
  • To apply their knowledge in the production and analysis of media arts
