The National College of Food Science and Technology is in Lainchour, Kathmandu. It is a constituent body of the NIST Foundation. It was started by a group of scientists and academicians for quality science and technology education and promotion in the country. It equips students with knowledge and skills to face boldly the global challenges of the 21st century. It currently offers a Bachelor of Technology in Food Technology, which is a four-year program affiliated with Tribhuvan University. It has been approved by university grant commissions. This program prepares students of the National College of Food Science and Technology to meet the challenges of quality and safety management in export and emerging customer trends in food technology and culinary experiences. The National College of Food Science and Technology has proper infrastructure, labs, and professional experts from the food industry who are teaching the academic program for bachelor-level students.
