Paklihawa College is stationed in Rupandehi district, which lies 4 km south-west of Bhairahawa and is also the headquarter of the district. Rupandehi is recognized as an important ecological sector of Nepal. The college delivers balanced facilities for the growth of undergraduate students with teaching, farms, and research in agricultural areas.

Why Paklihawa Campus ?

Paklihawa campus was established in Rupandehi, which lies 4 km south-west of Bhairahawa. It symbolizes a very important ecological region of Nepal. The college provides balanced facilities for carrying out undergraduate teaching, farming, and research in the agricultural sciences.

The 25 percent of students who are very talented with praiseworthy performance in academics are provided a scholarship of Rs. 200 per month up to a maximum of 10 months. The Paklihawa Campus offers undergraduate degrees in B.Sc. Agriculture, B.V.Sc., and A.H.

Additional Information

Eligibility to get admission at Paklihawa Campus:

The students with the I.Sc. (basic science) or I.Sc. (agriculture) should study the following lists of subjects:

  1. Compulsory English
  2. Physics
  3. Chemistry
  4. Biology

The candidates should also secure a minimum of 50 percent marks in aggregate from Tribhuvan University or from other renowned universities. With the fulfillment of the above-mentioned statement, the candidates are eligible to apply for this course. They are given admission on the basis of an entrance examination.

The various programs at Paklihawa Campus are as follows:

BSc General

The Veterinary Science is the science which attends to the causes, diagnosis, treatment and repair the different types of diseases in birds and animals. The course includes the information about the animal physiology and accumulate the ideas for treating, curing and preventing diseases among animals.

The basic assumption of this course is similar to that of the medical science while animal husbandry is exercised with the study of breeding.

The Tribhuvan University administers the Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry (B.V.Sc.) and Institute of Agriculture and Animal Science. Both the courses require five years with 10 semesters to graduate. The course includes of 221 credit hours. Till the completion of ninth semester the students will completely have the knowledge on theoretical, practical and technical aspects of veterinary clinical sciences, animal breeding, production of livestock, management, etc. Further, in the tenth semester the student will be aware of the real life experiences as well as mandatory arrangement of internship

BSc Agriculture

B.SC. Agriculture (Bachelor of Science in Agriculture)

The target of Bachelor of Science in Agriculture program is to train the students to be academically capable and practical oriented professional agricultures. The B.Sc. Agriculture Program (Bachelor of Science in Agriculture) is a year based course which is of 4years with eight semesters. The students can apply for the course after I.Sc. (Basic Science) or I.Sc. (Agriculture).

In the first three years most of the courses includes basic core agricultural disciplines. At the fourth year, the students can select the courses of their own interest for acquiring the knowledge and skills. The project works and study visits in the field are part of the academic curriculum. The students must fulfill four years of residential learning to complete the requirements of B.Sc. Agriculture.
