Scope and Career Prospects

Electricity and electrical appliances has taken a major stake in today's world. To do our work without the help of convenient electrical machines and devices is almost impossible in this digital age.

With the use of appliances comes an individual to manufacture and operate them. There is a huge demand for the electrical engineers as they are needed in almost every sector to perform one or the other duties.

Electrical Engineers are basically involved to develop, design and test the manufacture of electronic equipments. Additionally, they also work under the electrical section in various companies to deal with the electrical related problem in machines and other devices.

In context of Nepal, electrical engineers are highly valued and demanded. Growing modern communication innovations such as smartphone, wireless communication, satellites, electronic surveillance, alternative energy as well as computing technology has put electric engineers in the front row.

There are many job opportunities abroad but in Nepal, they are majorly hired in Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA), hydropower, large scale industries, production plants, research institutions and many more.
