Bachelor of Travel and Tourism Management | TU

BTTM course, which stands for Bachelor of Travel and Tourism Management, is a four-year course offered by Tribhuvan University (TU). The program comprises 126 credit hours, spread over eight semesters. Its objective is to produce skilled professionals in the field of tourism at the first and middle levels in the country.

Objectives of Bachelor of Travel and Tourism Management

To fulfill the demand for skilled professionals in the travel and tourism industry, both in the public and private sectors, Tribhuvan University offers the BTTM course. This course aims to achieve the following objectives:

Admission Requirements in Bachelor of Travel and Tourism Management

Eligibility Criteria:

To be eligible for the BTTM course, the candidates must meet the following criteria:

  1. Completion of the intermediate level (10+2) or equivalent with a minimum of second division in any stream from a recognized University/Board/Institution by Tribhuvan University (TU).
  2. English should be a full paper (200 marks) in the 10+2 or equivalent examination.
  3. Fulfill all the requirements while completing the entrance exam form.

Entrance Exam:

Candidates are required to take the Central Management Admission Test (CMAT) conducted by Tribhuvan University (TU). The entrance exam consists of four types of questions:

  • Verbal Testing
  • Logical Reasoning
  • General Knowledge
  • Quantitative Ability

To pass and be selected for the next stage, students need to score a minimum of 40% marks. The next stages include group discussion and interviews. The final admission is based on the merit list, which is prepared by considering 50% of the CMAT score, 30% of the 10+2 or equivalent examination score, 10% of the group discussion score, and 10% of the interview score.

Fee Structure

The fee structure of BTTM in Nepal under TU is relatively affordable compared to other programs. The fees range from NRs. 1,50,000 to NRs. 2,50,000. For detailed information on fees, individuals can visit the official website of the colleges or contact the administration.
