Vice Chancellor of TU inaugurates the opening ceremony of Chitwan Engineering Campus, Rampur

Under the wing of Tribhuvan University, Institute of Engineering, The Vice Chancellor Prof. Tirth Raj Khaniya inaugurated the open of its fifth constituent campus Chitwan Engineering Campus, Rampur in its opening day program. Prof. Khaniya was accompanied by mayor of Bharatpur Municipality Renu Dahal and together inaugurated the commencement of Chitwan Engineering Campus. This constituent engineering campus is 62nd campus of T.U. and it has opened after a period of 4 decades was mentioned by Prof. Khaniya. He also stressed to make this campus an ideal campus with the joint efforts of Tribhuvan University and Bharatpur Municipality working together. Mayor Dahal also said that she had conceived about making Chitwan as an education hub for citizens of Nepal. She was delighted to work with Tribhuvan University to facilitate education in this region and had received full support from Tribhuvan University in this endeavor. She has also desired to bring open Universities in Chitwan not for the purpose of open competition but to give quality education. Dean of Institute of Engineering also said that it was a major accomplishment to have opened this campus in Chitwan. He added that soon by imparting education on all seven faculties eventually Chitwan Engineering Campus would be recognized as a model campus. A six member committee was formed for engineering studies along with Dean Prof. Ram Chandra Sapkota on last week of Shrawan, 2076 B.S.
