Tribhuvan University fifth Alumni Association annual general meeting concluded
Tribhuvan University fifth annual Alumni Association annual general meeting of 10 August 2024 was concluded successfully. Education, Science and Technology Minister and Tribhuvan University Chancellor Vidya Bhattarai was the Chief Guest of this event. It was held on TU Smriti building Kirtipur. The alumni of Tribhuvan University of latter years who had held prestigious positions from various fields graced in this event. Among them were Kedar Bhakta Mathema TU previous Vice Chancellor, Prof Dr. Tirtha raj Khaniya, Prof Dr. Bhagwan Koirala, Druba Bahadur Pradhan, Karna Shakya, Umesh Shrestha, Upendra Mahato, Banker Upendra Paudyal, Urmila Shrestha Director of Salt trading corporation, Yadav Kharel of Arts, Yuvaraj Khatiwada Advisor of P.M. and previous Finance Minister. Minister Bhattarai spoke in the event about was TU was the gateway for higher studies in Nepal. It has the borne maximum responsibility of spreading higher education in the Nation. Without improvement of Tribhuvan University, higher education would be incomplete. For this Alumni Association has played a vital role in improvement of higher education from Tribhuvan University. Prof Dr Khadak raj K.C. also spoke about de-politicization steps has to be taken by not coming into coalition and distributive principles of Tribhuvan University Academicals foundations from the people. Also the focus was on recruiting skilled and competent Professors and encourage Professors of this University who have self-examination and critical analysis skills. Other spoke about preventing students’ migration in other countries for foreign education degrees. Also Nepal’s education had to be made a center of attraction in international arena was also raised as an improvement factor. Yuvaraj Khatiwada shared his experience that from TU’s education and he had gained invaluable experience of working with international job sectors.
