Central Department of Microbiology

The Central Department of Microbiology at Tribhuvan University at Kirtipur is the first and one-of-a kind education institution for running advanced-level microbiology education in the country. It offers MSc and PhD degrees in microbiology. Apart from teaching, the Central Department of Microbiology has been conducting various workshops and talk programs. Since its inception, students have been involved in various activities of the department. Students studying a microbiology course from the Central Department of Microbiology have been conducting dissertation work in diverse areas of microbiology. It has signed memoranda of understanding with different institutes, hospitals, and research centers.
