College of Dental Surgery, BPKIHS was established in August 1999 as an explorer of Dental Education in Nepal. The College is dedicated to provide education for having dental surgeons who are knowledgeable, skilled, and understanding. College of Dental Surgery is also contributing quality oral health services to the people considering health statistics and the national well-being policy of Nepal. The College was started in previously existing old buildings located at the south point of campus with 74 dental chairs with all minimum requirements. The College shifted to its new building on 7th February 2004. The total area for the College is 6.77 hectares and the total build-up area is 120000 sq. ft. The building has all facilities which are required for the smooth functioning of a dental college and hospital. It provides study and skills on complete dental care such as oral pathology, conservative dentistry, periodontology and oral implantology, communist dentistry, orthodontist, pedodontist and preventive dentistry, prosthodontics, oral and maxillofacial surgery, oral medicine and radiology.

Scholarships at The College of Dental Surgery will be awarded by the Government of Nepal from which 55 percent of seats are from open competition, 45 percent of seats are allocated for female, Dalit, Adivasi, janajati, khas, Aryan, Madhesi, Tharu, Muslim, backward and disabled communities.
