Objectives of TSLC in Auxiliary Nurse Midwife
Pre-Diploma in Auxiliary Nurse Midwife (ANM) focuses on preparing capable ANMs to offer vital Primary Health Care Services at various healthcare levels (Sub Health Post, Health Post, Primary Health Care Centre, and District Hospitals) in Nepal.
After the completion of the course, ANM graduates will be able to:
- Individuals, families, and communities require critical care in the areas of prevention, promotion, rehabilitation, and maintenance.
- Facilitate the delivery of basic care to clients by utilizing procedural procedures and an organized treatment process.
- Create and implement different hygiene clinic projects, such as those focusing on reproductive wellness and dietary habits.
- Recognize prevalent illnesses and their treatment therapies.
Career and Scope
Upon completion of the Auxiliary Nurse Midwife (ANM) program, graduates qualify for roles akin to Non-gazetted 2nd class/level 4 (technical) positions, either as an Auxiliary Nurse Midwife (ANM) or in alignment with directives from the Public Service Commission. Graduates meet the criteria for enrollment with the Nepal Nursing Council under the specified grade according to the Nepal Nursing Council Act. Additionally, they gain eligibility to take the entrance exam for PCL Nursing.
