Objectives of General Cook
The primary objective of the General Cook is to introduce an individual into the world of cooking who can work in a Nepalese or any other community. Besides this here are some of the major purposes of this three months training:
- To provide the knowledge required for mandatory cleanliness and maintenance while preparing Indian, Continental, and Chinese dishes.
- To impart ideas about the preparation required for making different cuisines.
- To familiarize students with a variety of Continental, Indian, and Chinese dishes.
- To help them prepare some of the popular Nepalese meals.
Eligibility
The eligibility criteria of the CTEVT’s General Cook are:
- The candidate should have passed at least grade 8.
- The applicants should be of age 16 years or above.
- They should clear the entrance examination
Career and Scope
The graduates of the General Cook training course of CTEVT can work in any Nepali Kitchen. After completion of the course students can work as cooks on the following places:
- Hotels
- Restaurants
- Cafes
- Bakery
- Confectioners
Beside this, they will also have an option to be self-employed or entrepreneur by starting their venture.
