Kathmandu Institute of Technology known as KIT is one of the promising institutes in Nepal. It was established in the year 2057 B.S. mainly with an aim of providing quality education to the students and producing skilled manpower for the country.  Currently 39 institutes are providing such programs and KIT is one among them. Kathmandu Institute of Technology is located at Tokharad, Dhapasi so it can be easily reached by public vehicles at anytime. Kathmandu Institute of Technology also provide transportation facilities. This college solely believes in five pillars of success: Knowledge, Skill, Responsibility, Discipline and Commitment. These five pillars can only be achieved with hard work of all students, teachers and parents. At present, Kathmandu Institute of Technology is running a three-year Diploma Engineering program.

Academic Programes at Kathmandu Institute of Technology

Diploma in Computer Engineering:

Diploma in Computer Engineering is designed to produce average level technician who are equipped with knowledge and skills related to Computer Engineering.

This course is mainly provided to students with following objectives:

• To produce average level manpower that could provide service to society and nation.
• To meet the demand for such technicians required by the country.
• To reduce the dependency in foreign counties.
• To create self employment opportunities.

Eligibility

Candidates must have passed SLC and those individuals of lower economic status are mostly preferred. They must also appear for entrance test conducted by the college administration to get admission at Kathmandu Institute of Technology.
