Objectives
The main objectives of Bachelor of Hospitality and Tourism Management course for the students are as follows:
- To provide theoretical and practical knowledge for proper handling, managing and planning of the tourism sector.
- To produce the human resources with a high level of managerial and entrepreneurial knowledge.
- To provide professional skills for the improvement of the hospitality industry of our nation.
- To develop competent and dedicated human resources who can set principles for quality assurance of the services offered in tourism industry.
- To produce professional and successful managers and executives who can carry out and execute plans and policies in hospitality sector.
- To develop a successful entrepreneur providing them the knowledge, skill and the approach required for the overall self-development in the hospitality sector.
- To improve their intellectual and analytical abilities to build a successful career in the tourism field taking up managerial and entrepreneurial roles effectively.
- To promote the managerial and entrepreneurial skills with the continuous practice in related work.
Admission Requirements
Eligibility for the Admission:
- The applicant must pass Kathmandu University Undergraduate Minimum Admission Test (KUUMAT) exam conducted by Kathmandu University with at least the minimum pass score.
- Candidates must have to complete their 10+2 or Proficiency Certificate Level(PCL), or any degree equivalent to them from colleges/ universities recognized by Kathmandu University with minimum 50% marks in aggregate or CGPA of 2.00 on the scale of 4.00 or have to pass GCE 'A' level with a minimum GPA of 'C' or above.
- Non-Nepali (International) students can also apply.

Required Documents:
- Certification of successful performance in KUUMAT.
- Copy of a School Leaving Certificate (SLC) or equivalent degree mark sheet.
- Copy of a Proficiency Certificate Level, 10+2 or equivalent degree transcript.
- Copy of a Migration Certificate (Original during the admission).
- Copy of a Character Certificate issued by institution last attended.
- One self-written essay (Personality Profile).
- Two recommendation letters from principal / teachers of school/ college last attended.
- Copy of a Citizenship Certificate or valid Passport.
Fee Structure
The average fee for a program in Bachelor of Hospitality and Tourism Management typically ranges from NPR 400,000 – NPR 600,000, though the exact cost may vary depending on the colleges.
