Overview

Kathmandu University, School of Medical Sciences, offers a five-year, six-month Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery program. This MBBS program also has one year of a compulsory rotating internship program for the students. This program provides a comprehensive study of medicine, such as anatomy and physiology, clinical practice, and surgery. The completion of this program will allow you to become a general physician or become a medical doctor in a specialized field like forensic medicine, ophthalmology, otorhinolaryngology, surgery, pediatrics, obstetrics, or gynecology. The MBBS program of Kathmandu University will allow you to advance in clinical and non-clinical career fields.

Admission Requirements

Eligibility Criteria:

• Interested candidates must be over seventeen years of age.
• Candidates must have completed their +2 or any Intermediate level in the Science stream with major subjects such as Chemistry, Physics, Biology, and English.
• Candidates must have obtained a minimum of 50% in all subjects or have completed a BSc degree.

Entrance Test:

Applicants must sit for an entrance test administered according to the Entrance Examination Schedule published by the Ministry of Education.

Admission Modality:

To be eligible for admission, candidates must pass the Kathmandu University Management Admission Test (KUMAT) and meet other specified criteria.
