Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) is an undergraduate degree that mainly deals with education related to visual or performing arts. The BFA degree is also referred to as Bachelor of Creative Arts or Bachelor of Visual Arts. This degree is dedicated to students who plan to pursue a professional career in the arts sector. It is a practical-based course and typically spans four years.

Objectives of Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA)

The main objectives of the Bachelor of Fine Arts or BFA course are as follows:

Admission Requirements in Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA)

Eligibility Criteria:

The eligility criteria for Bachelor of Fine Arts program are as follows:

  1. All candidates who have completed their grade 12 in any stream from a college/university/board recognized by Tribhuvan University are eligible for admission.
  2. While there is usually no other criteria, some universities/colleges may require candidates to secure a minimum percentage (usually 50 – 60%) in Class 12th to be eligible for admission to the BFA course.
  3. In addition to these criteria, preference may sometimes be given to candidates who have studied Arts/Humanities in Class 12th and have a basic knowledge of the Fine Arts subject they wish to pursue.
