PBN(Post Basic Bachelor of Nursing)
PU AffiliatedPost Basic Bachelor in Nursing is a three year program of Purbanchal University. This program covers primary health care nurse health specialists in hospital, midwifery and community nursing sectors. It also deals with realities of health management issues, concerns and problems, equitable nursing services for disadvantaged groups, teaching and learning process through education capabilities. The area of concentration is midwifery, community nursing, hospital nursing, adult health and child health nursing.
BSc Nursing(BSc Nursing)
PU AffiliatedKoshi Health and Science campus offers Bachelor of Public health program of Purbanchal University. This program provides knowledge and skill to prepare practitioners which can treat sickness and disease using medical treatment. Public health workers also look after promoting health, preventing risk factors, disease injury, protecting health and immune system, control of risk factors and epidemics conditions. Some of the subjects in the Bachelor of public health study are anatomy and physiology, entomology and rodentology, pharmacology and toxicology, ecosystem and environment health, food and nutrition, first aid safety, core actions in public health, epidemiology of communicable disease, demography, population studies and family planning, reproductive health, social psychology in public health, non-communicable disease and mental health, public health infrastructure and health service, field based practice and public health research. There is also proposal writing in public health project management.
Koshi health and Science Campus is situated in Sahakari Marga, Morang. It is established under Nepal Health development and research co-operative act. It has well maintained building, classrooms and runs Bachelor level programs of Purbanchal University in Bachelor in Public health and post basic Bachelor in Nursing. It provides learning both theoritically and practically and have produced qualified and skilled graduate human resource in the public healthcare sector. It has immensely contributed to requirements of nurses, professional health care workers, other health care experts using international standards.Besides there is sister organization Koshi health institute which runs Diploma programs in technical knowledge of public health affiliated to CTEVT.
