Master of Applied Science in Artificial Intelligence | MBUST
The Master of Technology in Artificial Intelligence at Kathmandu University is a two-year, four-semester postgraduate program designed to build advanced expertise in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Data Science. The 45-credit curriculum balances theoretical courses (30 credits) and research-oriented thesis work (15 credits), ensuring both academic depth and practical application.
Students gain multidisciplinary knowledge in Machine Learning, Neural Networks, Big Data Analytics, Information Retrieval, Fuzzy Systems, and Evolutionary Computation, while also engaging in labs, seminars, projects, and field visits. The program emphasizes innovation, ethical practices, and research culture to prepare graduates for the growing demand in AI both locally and globally
Objectives
The curriculum is structured and administered in such a manner that individuals who complete the course cycle develop highly sought-after market skills to handle a large and complex volume of data. Some other objectives are:
