The Nepal College of Development Studies was established in 2007 in Shankhamul, Kathmandu. It is owned by the Sutra Centre for Development Education and affiliated with Tribhuvan University. It has functions in areas of academics, research, and extension activities that benefit the surrounding communities. It provides an opportunity for students to experience real-life practical models from the academic programs. The offered program is a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work and Rural Development. The course has a practicum with social work training and an educational excursion to understand rural societies, besides academic knowledge of social work and rural development theories. Nepal College of Development Studies is well facilitated and well equipped to support the education needs of each student with training and skill development from highly proficient and experienced educators with professional knowledge and experience in social work programs.
