Bachelor of Computer Engineering | PU (Pokhara)

The Bachelor of Computer Engineering or BE Computer is a four-year degree program offered by Pokhara University (PU). This program follows the semester system and is divided into a total of eight semesters. The field of computer engineering is a highly specialized and technical field that combines knowledge and technology. The course consists of both technical and non-technical subjects, including general science subjects and core computer subjects. In the sixth, seventh, and eighth semesters, students have the opportunity to choose elective subjects. To provide a practical aspect to the course, project work is included in the second, third, and fourth years.

Over the four-year duration, students are taught various aspects such as software development, networking, system design, and digital systems. The primary objective of the course is to familiarize them with the latest trends in the world of information technology and computer science.

Admission Requirements in Bachelor of Computer Engineering

Eligibility:

To be eligible for admission of Bachelor of Computer Engineering, candidates must have passed 10+2 science, I.SC, A-Levels, Diploma of Engineering, or any equivalent degree from a University/Board/Institution recognized by Pokhara University. They should have obtained at least second division marks in aggregate.

Entrance exam for Admission:

The entrance exam consists of multiple-choice questions, with a total of 100 questions. The marks distribution for the exam is as follows: Physics (25%), Chemistry (15%), Mathematics (40%), and English (20%). A merit list is published based on the entrance exam results.
