Overview

Purbanchal University Faculty of Science and Technology offers a four-year, eight-semester Bachelor of Dairy Technology program. This program provides application of science and technology for preparing, processing, preservation, packing, labeling, storing and distributing, and maintaining quality control of dairy products. It also provides information on nutrition and health implications of human consumption, managing aspects of dairy processing operation, developing new dairy products, processing methods, and distribution techniques, learn about hygiene, quality control, chemistry, biochemistry, and engineering process.

Objectives of Bachelor of Dairy Technology

The main objectives of this course are as follows:

  • To produce food and dairy professionals.
  • To improve the investigating procedure in the field of food and dairy.
  • To acquire knowledge about the new technologies that are used in the dairy industries as well as in inspecting the quality and purity of the dairy products.
  • To enhance the ability to conduct researcha in the food and dairy sector.

Eligibility

Must have passed ISc or Plus2 Science with a minimum 45 percent or 2 CGPA, Diploma from any institution recognized by Purbanchal University, and also appear and pass in the entrance exam.
