Bachelor of Hotel Management (BHM) is designed to produce managerial manpower for the hotel industry with a specialty in marketing, room division and beverage. The course deal with a core, contemporary and growing issues related to hotel management. BHM program focuses on equipping students with knowledge and skills required to build a flourishing career in hotel management sectors.
Purbanchal University (PU) has offered BHM degree, which comprises of 8 semesters of six months each. Altogether there are 144 credit hours. The major subjects students should study under this program include, Principles of Management, English for Hospitality, Housekeeping, Food Production, Food & Beverage Service, Fundamentals of Tourism & Hospitality, Food Science & Nutrition, Principles of Accounting, Business Communication, Housekeeping-II, Food Production & Patisserie- II and Food & Beverage Cost Control. In the last semester, students should undertake a project work and internship.
