Overview

Purbanchal University School of Health Sciences offers a four-year Bachelor of Science in Nursing program, which prepares competent nurses in areas of education, administration, and services in respective levels of health programs by tackling health problems from the source and planning, implementing, and evaluating programs towards wholeness and a comprehensive approach. It allows the development of skills in health system research and management and induces improvement in health status. It allows for providing accessible and equitable nursing care for disadvantaged groups and communities. Provide innovative ways of preventive, promotive, curative, and rehabilitative aspects of care and bring sustainable changes in work environments. It will allow us to provide holistic care as nurses and midwives and improve mental health for the clients.

Objectives of BSc Nursing

Some of the key objectives of this program are listed below:

  • To deliver advanced and in-depth education that enable graduates to practice their profession in the constantly changing health care environment.
  • To develop critical thinking to provide holistic care in diverse healthcare settings using process to prevent diseases and promote the health of everyone from individuals to communities.
  • To enhance students' communication skills, decision-making ability and leadership quality.
  • Conduct research activities for the betterment of profession.

Admission Requirements in BSc Nursing

The candidates must have to complete intermediate sciences or +2 with biology, chemistry, Physics, math and English as main subjects and must have to secure minimum of 50% of marks in aggregate.

  • The candidate must be at least 17 years old.
  • Attested copies of mark sheets and character certificate of SLC and 10+2 or PCL or of any level equivalent to them.
  • 4 copies of PP size photographs.
  • Certificate of Medical Examination.
  • Duly filled admission form.

Fee Structure

The fee for Bsc Nursing in Nepal generally starts between NPR 700,000 and 1,100,000, but it may vary with colleges.

Career and Scope

In general, the graduates are able to carry out the responsibilities of various health institutions such as basic Level Investigator, Straight Care Provider. Upon the completion of this program, the graduates can pursue their education anywhere in Nepal or foreign countries.
