Master in Development Communication | Purbanchal University

Purbanchal University (PU) offers a globally recognized master's degree course, which is called as Master in Development Communication. The total duration of this course is two years. This course is based on the semester system and has been divided into altogether four semesters in total. After the completion of this course, the graduates will have an adequate knowledge about various aspects of our society, its development methodologies, and the role of communication.
 
To enhance the skills of students, various different practical sessions are carried out which will help them to gain the proficiency in the proper utilization of equipment related to communication. This two years academic course also includes educational tours, Field trips, workshops, & seminars as per the need of the degree. Students are required to submit a thesis at the end of the program.

Objectives of Master in Development Communication

The major objectives of this course are given below:
  • To provide students with the knowledge of principles and functions of communication and to apply it for the development procedure
  • To be familiar with the problems existing in the society and be capable of solving them

Admission Requirements in Master in Development Communication

Students holding graduate or post-graduate degree in any field with minimum of 50% score are eligible to apply for this course. Applicants are ought to collect admission form within the office hour (7 am to 10 am). The admission form should be filled properly. Along with the admission form, applicants are required to submit following documents:
  • Verified copies of the Graduation/ Post-Graduation Mark sheet
  • Verified copy of School Leaving Certificate
  • Two recent passport size photographs not older than 3 months
Admission is totally based on merit list. Candidates must have to attend the entrance examination held by Purbanchal University (PU). Candidates, who qualify in the written test can proceed with the admission procedure. The college session starts in the month of Magh every year.
