Since 1960, Scheer Memorial Hospital has been serving Banepa, and it is so popular in the area that it is also called Banepa Hospital. It started its service as a one-room clinic in a mountain village with no roads or electricity. Now it has grown bigger and stronger, helping poor people in need. Scheer Memorial Nursing College provides the best education service and makes them realize the need for health institutions in rural areas of Nepal. Patients are never turned away from Scheer Hospital due to lack of money, so people arrive here even by walking for days with patients in their piggybacks. More than 35% of the cases are from charity because people are not able to pay even 35 cents for a doctor's consultation. The hospital and college have been a great relief for the people of Banepa. Admission Procedure

• Interested candidates must have completed 17 years of age.
• They must have completed their plus two level or equivalent recognized by University with minimum of 50% or more marks in English, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and Biology.
• An entrance exam is conducted by KU in which minimum of pass marks should be acquired.
• Then interview is taken and Scheer Memorial Nursing College selects capable candidates for enrollment in the course which is a total of 20 seats.
