Objectives of BSc Tea Technology and Management
The objectives of the Bachelor of Science in Tea Technology and Management (BSc TTM) program are as follows:
- To produce qualified professionals capable of producing high-quality organic and internationally standardized tea, and to work successfully and professionally in the tea industry.
- To prepare graduates who can handle and manage all aspects of tea plantations and processing in tea factories/industries.
- To equip students with the knowledge and skills to interact effectively with employers and workers in the tea industry, as well as to have a sound understanding of marketing tea products in both local and global markets.
- To provide students with theoretical knowledge that enables them to develop a deeper understanding and familiarity with the practical tools and techniques used in the management and technology of tea production.
- To promote the conservation of the environment by encouraging the adoption of eco-friendly tea plantation and cultivation methods.
- To enhance students' analytical abilities, decision-making skills, and leadership qualities, enabling them to carry out, analyze, and execute plans and policies for the overall development of tea management and technology.
These objectives aim to create competent professionals in the tea industry who can contribute to the sustainable growth and development of the sector while adhering to international standards and environmental conservation practices.
Admission Requirements in BSc Tea Technology and Management
Eligibility for Admission:
- Completion of the 10+2 level of education or an equivalent level certificate.
- The applicant must have completed their 10+2 education in the science faculty or any equivalent discipline.
- The certificate must be obtained from a Board/University that is recognized by Tribhuvan University (TU).
Meeting these eligibility requirements ensures that applicants have the necessary educational background to pursue the BSc TTM program. It is important to note that the specific subject requirements may vary, and it is recommended to refer to the official admission guidelines and notices provided by the university for detailed information on eligibility criteria and subject prerequisites
Note: Quota system is available in Mechi Multiple Campus (MMC).

Admission Procedure:
The application form can be collected from the TU constituent, Mechi Multiple Campus and the filled in application form, along with the photocopy of the mark sheets and stated cash amount or payable deposit slip in name of the Campus should be submitted before the due date as mentioned in the calendar of events of the campus.
The following documents should be submitted during the admission
- Copy of a Character Certificate
- Copy of a School Leaving Certificate (SLC) or equivalent mark sheet
- Copy of a 10+2 (HSEB) or equivalent transcript
- Migration Certificate
- One color stamp size photographs for the College ID Card and two color passport size photographs for the College Records
- Copy of a Citizenship Certificate or Passport (For Foreign Students only)
Note: Students who have completed their Grade 11 board exams and are awaiting the results of their Grade 12 exams are eligible to fill the application form and appear in the entrance examination for the BSc Tea Technology and Management (BSc TTM) program. However, it is important to note that applicants must submit their Grade 12 mark sheet before the results of the entrance examination are announced or during the admission process.
This provision allows students who are in the process of completing their Grade 12 education to apply for the B.Sc. TTM program, giving them an opportunity to secure admission based on their Grade 12 results. The mark sheet of the Grade 12 examination serves as a crucial document for the admission process, and applicants must ensure its submission as per the university's guidelines and timelines.
