Master in Data Science | TU
Master in Data Science is a program offered by School of Mathematical Science, Tribhuvan University. This program focuses on set of core of skills from a variety of public and private data sources. It helps to gain knowledge and techniques to assess, evaluate, and support decision making and action using programming, statistics, data analytics, machine learning, data wrangling, data visualization, data communication, business foundation and ethics functions. This course relies on theory, practical work, seminar, thesis writing and internship work. This is total 60 credit hours of study.
Objectives of Master in Data Science
To collect, store, clean and query data from vareity of public and private data sources, assess, evaluate and respond to decision making needs and requirements, apply appropriate analytic techniques, communicate actionable information and findings.
Admission Requirements in Master in Data Science
Should have completed minimum 15 years education with three years graduation, must have CGPA 2.0 or second division marks with 45 percent marks in Bachelor level, B Math Science or equivalent, BSc Statistics, BA, BIT, BCA, BIM equivalent degrees. The individual should appear and pass the entrance exam conducted by T.U.

To work as data scientist in governmental agencies, banking, clinical research sectors, health care, business, travel and hospitality sector, business houses.
