Overview

Tribhuvan University Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences offers a Master of Arts in Anthropology program in two years, four semesters. This program provides a scientific study of humanity, which includes human behavior, culture, biology, society, and language. In this program, it covers the traditional four fields of anthropology with specialized seminar classes on kinship, economic anthropology, medical anthropology, disaster anthropology, anthropology of development, gender and feminism, historical anthropology, climate change, Himalayan region studies, South Asia studies, along with cast, ethnic, and cultural diversity.

Objectives

  • The objective of the Master of Arts in Anthropology is:

Admission requirements

Must have Bachelor degree in Arts and Social Science, or education, management and law or pure and applied science fields and must pass entrance exam of one hour’s duration of Office of the Dean Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences Tribhuvan University.
