MD General Practice | TU
Overview
Tribhuvan University offers an MD general practice three-year program at the Institute of Medicine. In this residency training program, students are assigned to conduct appropriate in-service training for hospital staff and others. It will allow providing education or training to various levels of health care students assigned to the hospital. They will be able to establish a referral system, coordination and cooperation among health care services, support for the health post, and maintenance of personal and professional standards. It will also be able to apply interventions such as surgical and obstetrical, which are lifesaving.
Objectives of MD General Practice
The following objectives are from MD general practice residency program:
- Maintain current health care knowledge and participate in continuing health education programs
- To work with health care objectives of government of Nepal
- Address the health care needs of people and maintain personal and professional standards consistently.
Admission Requirements in MD General Practice
- Should have MBBS or equivalent from institutions recognized by Nepal government
- Be a registered member of Nepal Medical Council
- Minimum fifty percent pass marks in entrance exams in Medical Education Commission exam to be suited for merit list
Eligibility
Minimum 50 percent pass marks in Medical Education Commission exam to be selected on merit basis.
