USEF-Nepal's Education USA Advising Center announces the Opportunity Funds Program

USEF-Nepal's Education USA Advising Center announces the Opportunity Funds Program 2019 for outstanding, financially disadvantaged students with a stellar academic record. The program is for students applying for fall 2019 admission in Bachelor's programs in U.S. colleges and universities.  Women, ethnic minorities, and those who gave their SLC/ SEE outside the Kathmandu Valley are encouraged to apply. Application deadline: Friday, March 30, 2018 at 4:00 p.m.

Nepal Government, Ministry of Education (MoE) issues a notice to all the Colleges with International affiliations for license renewal

Ministry of Education (MoE) has published news to notify all the Colleges as well as the Institutes in Nepal; affiliated to International Universities, so as to submit their applications along with all the other required documents for renewal purposes. Colleges also need to deposit Rs. 1,500 per each student in Everest Bank A/C No. 5201265 for those, who are enrolled in the internationally affiliated program. As per the notice, colleges which fail to submit their application for the renewal process at the given time might lose the approval of Ministry of Education (MoE) to run the internationally affiliated program.

Campus Locks still not opened

Saptari, Mahendra Bindeshwori Multiple Campus which has been locked down for a week with a demand to not let the campus be merged with newly established Rajshri Janak University. The concerned authorities are however silent about this issue and even the students are affected by this. The campus was locked down for an unknown period of time on Falgun because the authorities showed no concern towards the strike of the campus’s principal, staffs and the students. The government which was under the leadership of Sherbahadur Deuba, had made the decision to merge Rarawa Campus of Janakpur and Satyanarayan Suryanarayan Marbaita Multiple Campus with newly established Rajarshi Janak Multiple Campus. Principal, staffs and students of the campus have been on a strike since then.
