Madhesh Institute of Health Science is located at Province 2 region offering health care, research and education. The objectives of establishment were creation of sustainable local capacity for specialized health care of people and a teaching hospital of 500 beds for accessibility to health care of people of the region. The Chancellor of this institution is Honorable Chief Minister Lal Bahadur Raut, Honorable Chief Minister Nawl Kishore Sah as the pro Chancellor and Prof.Dr. Ram Kewal Shah as the Vice Chancellor.

Academic Programs:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing

This is four years program of Madhesh Institute of Health Science designed with an objective of producing Professional Nurses with adequate skills and knowledge of Managing Nursing occupation.

• Bachelor of Public Health

It is four years program in eight semesters to produce Public Health professionals to lead Community health Care.

• Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory technology

This is another four years program of MIHS of four years eight semesters. It provides education and help to built Professional skills in Laboratory Medicine.

• Bachelor of Nursing Science

This program prepares qualified Nursing professionals in the Community level. The careers achievable from this course are Registered Nurses, Nurses, and Advanced Practical Nurses.
