Maharajgunj Medical Campus

Maharajgunj Medical Campus is a QAA and IQAC-certified campus in Maharajgunj, Kathmandu. The objectives of this campus are to provide knowledge in research and health undertakings. It has been able to provide continuing education to produce competent human resources in the health care sector. Students can study courses in medical, dental, and allied health programs. Maharajgunj Medical Campus has already been able to produce thousands of graduate students, 800 of whom are postgraduate students, from over 300 teaching faculty members. The campus provides better facilities for students along with scholarship opportunities under Rastriya Yuva Sewa Kosh. Maharajgunj Medical Campus is under Tribhuvan University's Institute of Medicine department. In fact, it is one of the seven constituent campuses of the Institute of Medicine. The associated hospitals and centers of Maharajgunj Medical Campus are Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital, BP Koirala Lions Center for Opthalmic Studies, and Manmohan Cardio Thoracic Vascular and Transplant Center.

Dear Students, Guardians and Well wishers,

It gives me pleasure to welcome you to Maharajgunj Medical Campus. It is pioneer healthcare institution of Nepal and also constituent Campus of Tribhuvan University. It was established with aim to provide human resource in the country and to serve heathcare needs. It was promoted from auxilliary health care school to Campus status in 2029 B.S. It was known as Central Campus initially and trained in allied health science professionals. It has expanded after passing many stages from Central Campus to Maharajgunj Campus and finally a full fledged Maharajgunj Medical Campus.

I express my gratitude to Parent University Tribhuvan University, Institute of Medicine, faculty, staffs for immense contribution in making this Campus excellence for health care education in Nepal.
