Pokhara University in the field of Science and technology has launched Hydropower Engineering in their Masters level program. For producing capable human resource for hydropower sector the University has started education with this post-graduate program. According to Dean of Pokhara University the education of this sector can produce manpower for big and medium hydro power companies for designing and management of hydro power sector in Nepal. The estimated fees for studying Hydro power engineering are NRs 400,000 gross per head. For the first batch University will be taking 20 students. To study these subject students must have studied Masters Level in Engineering with civil, agriculture and rural development.
