The British College top up Undergraduate orientation program 2021.

The British College have hosted the Top-Up orientation programme for their January / February Undergraduate intake for this year, on 11th February 2021.

The event was held to welcome and orientate Top-Up undergraduate BSc (Hons) Computing and BHM Students – met for the first time at the Hotel Himalaya, Lalitpur.  2020 was a difficult year for everyone and as such all programmes at The British College went virtual. In order to make sure that no student’s experience - or most importantly health, was compromised, The British College not only taught all lessons online, but also hosted events. These included live information sessions, webinars, and the Graduation Ceremony 2020.

As such, The British College was particularly happy to be able to host this event in person, at Hotel Himalaya, Lalitpur. All safety measures were put firmly in place. Students and staff were given masks and there was hand sanitizer available throughout the venue - which the British College has ensured is large enough for all staff and students to remain at a social distance, whilst still enjoying the event.

To welcome the students, The British College team had provided them with inspiring speeches - starting with recorded sessions from the Principal and representatives from UK partner universities, Leeds Beckett and The University of the west of England. This was followed by information sessions and motivational presentations from faculty, programme leaders, and current students - who were there in person, to explain to the new students what they can look forward to as their experience at The British College begins. The formal programme concluded with the closing remarks by Mr Arun lal Joshi, Associate Dean, The British College.

After the speeches have concluded, guests have enjoyed a lunch and played a series of games activities designed to help them to get to know each other before they embark on this next chapter of learning together. As the year moves forward, students will have a combination of classroom and online lessons. This is a great step forward, as The British College continue to take every measure possible, until they are confident that it is safe to go back to normal - prioritising the students health above all.
