Brihaspati College

One of the pioneer educational institutes, Brihaspati Vidya Sadan, was established in the year 1985 AD. The academic institute is located within the Balmandir compound with a total area of 160,00 square meters in Naxal, Kathmandu. Brihaspati Vidya Sadan is ranked as one of the top educational providers in the country, with modern educational amenities. The name of the institution is derived from the Hindu Teacher of the Gods, Brihaspati, and Vidya Sadan means the place of gaining knowledge or the place of learning. Brihaspati Vidya Sadan has been offering the intermediate course for 15 years in the management faculty and also started running courses in the science faculty a few years ago under the Higher Secondary Education Board (HSEB). Besides quality education, Brihaspati Vidya Sadan has been actively taking part in social services and is involved in research and training activities for the school level and also in other areas, including IT and physics.

The Brihaspati Vidya Sadan has been running level courses in science and non-science streams to match with the education system in Nepal, and it also runs intermediate +2 level in science and management faculties under the Higher Secondary Board (HSEB).

Facilities

The facilities at Brihaspati College or BVS are as follows:

• The BVS offers two modern computer labs. One of the labs is also the first open-source computer lab research facility in Nepal.
• The institution has three halls with a capacity of 400, 200, and 60 people, respectively.
• Brihaspati Vidya Sadan has two separate, well-equipped libraries for the secondary and high school levels, with sufficient course books and reference books.
• The college has four well-equipped science labs with modern lab facilities.
• The college has lots of space for sports and has one cricket and football ground each, along with three cricket practice pitches.
• The BVS offers research and training facilities.
• Brihaspati Vidya Sadan also has transportation facilities.

Admission Procedure 

Like other educational institutions, to get admission at Brihaspati Vidya Sadan, you have to go through the entrance exam process. The candidates wishing to apply at Brihaspati Vidya Sadan must fill out the application form for admission in detail. After that, the applicant must submit all the required documents with the application form and wait for the date of the entrance exam. Only eligible candidates selected from the exam can get admission to the BVS.
