Central Campus of Technology

Central Campus of Technology (CCT) is located in Dharan and is affiliated with Tribhuvan University (TU). Central Campus is the forerunner and the only constituent of TU where food technology and nutrition programs are offered. It is considered the epitome of food technology education in Nepal, where more than 90% of the technologists working in the food industry and allied organizations get their educational degrees. After the education system came into being in Nepal in 1971 A.D. (2028 B.S.), all the higher education centers scattered all over the country were unified under the umbrella of Tribhuvan University. Subsequently, Central Campus was established in 1973 AD. and soon became the forerunner of the Food Technology program in Nepal.

At present, programs of diverse natures are being run at the college. Hence, it is a matter of pride to be enrolled at the Central Campus, where many students prefer to study. The college has the vision to strive to transition into the Deemed University of Food Science and Technology, making it one of the finest research stations for post-harvest technology in the SAARC region. The main mission of the Central Campus of Technology is to strengthen research facilities and develop post-harvest technology and allied programs to the point where Central Campus can be deemed a university in its own right. To bring these visions and missions into reality, Central Campus of Technology has set the following goals:

• Mobilize resources for developing infrastructure.
• Prepare strategic plans for the sustainability of all future programs.
• Strengthen research facilities.
• Run advanced academic programs in science and technology.

Being a college that offers degrees in food technology, it offers bachelor's and master's-level courses in microbiology, food technology, nutrition and dietetics, geology, and physics.

It is my great pleasure to welcome you to the Central Campus of Technology. We are situated at a beautiful height in the north-east corner of Dharan City. CCE was established in 2028, and within its time span, it has been able to achieve all its objectives. It has been offering high-quality education in food technology, nutrition and dietetics, microbiology, and physics. It is the Central Campus of Food Technology. We also have the finest research for post-harvest technology in the South-Western region. We commit to practical, value-based life skills education. I am sure it will be an academic excellence center in multiple areas of science and technology.
