College of Development Studies was established in 2006 AD which provides education in the field of development studies. This college has been conducting postgraduate diploma and graduate programs in affiliation with Purbanchal University. Students are guided and motivated thoroughly by faculty members. This college is located at Old Baneshwor, Kathmandu, Nepal. Under the affiliation of Purbanchal University Master of Philosophy in Development Studies, MDS, and Diploma in Community Development and Training courses are offered by this college.

Scholarships at College of Development Studies
The scholarships at the College of Development Studies are as follows:
- Board toppers in respective bachelor levels are facilitated with full scholarship provision and entrance toppers will get full scholarship in tuition fees for the first semester.
- The semester topper will also receive a full scholarship for next semester if the GPA score is more than 3 in aggregate.
- Needy and deserving students will be provided partial scholarships and full scholarships are provided to those recommended by the University.

Admission Procedure at College of Development Studies
- Students completing a master level with minimum second division masks in the aggregate are eligible to apply for Master of Philosophy in Development Studies of any stream at the College of Development Studies.
- Students are eligible from any stream of Bachelor level with a minimum of 45% in aggregate recognized by Purbanchal University to apply for Master in Development Studies and diploma level.
- Diploma level is of one year and only students completing the bachelor level are eligible to apply since it is a postgraduate diploma course.
- An entrance test is conducted by the college and entrance-passed students are selected based on the merit list since limited seats are only available.
