Bachelor of Hospitality Management Course in Nepal

The Bachelor of Hospitality Management program was launched to provide the knowledge, and skills of various functions for the operations of hospitality industries. Students of BHM go through four years of intensive study, and six months of internship period in a standard hotel where they have to work with real staff and put use of their learned skills and knowledge to become graduates in this field.

General Information
The Bachelor of Hospitality Management course is a 4-year undergraduate degree. However, some equivalent courses listed in the above section are of 3 years. The program is generally semester-based.
Throughout the program, students learn theoretical as well as practical aspects of the hospitality industry through a rigorously built syllabus. A few things that the BHM course structure covers are as follows;

Eligibility for BHM
Any student who wants to study Bachelor's in Hospitality Management should have completed their intermediate or any equivalent level of education in any stream with an aggregate of 50% or 2 CGPA.
Along with this, students must pass the entrance examination (if there are any) conducted by the institution.
Admission Requirement
If students are eligible to study the BHM course, they need to submit some personal and academic documents for the admission procedure. Here are the possible paperwork they might require;
- Marksheet, proof, and character certificate of SEE/ SLC
- Marksheet, Transcript, and migration, and character certificate of 10+2 or any equivalent level.
- Copy of citizenship

Fee Structure of BHM
The approximate fee structure for studying a Bachelor of Hospitality Management course is around six to eight lakhs. The fees do not include security deposits, books, or stationary costs and an education service tax as per the law of the Nepalese Government.
Scholarships
Colleges affiliated with Kathmandu University offer scholarships to students pursuing their undergraduate level of education in hospitality management courses. There is the provision of merit-based scholarships. Along with this, colleges waive a certain percentage of semester fees depending upon the marks obtained by students at the end-semester examination.
