Bachelor of Hotel Management is a program which provides you the knowledge, skills and world of hospitality with an intention towards receiving guests, providing them best accommodations, food and beverages, travel and pleasant service for their stay in Hotels of Kathmandu. This course is generally a four years and eight semesters program which gives intensive knowledge of hospitality services including disciplines of organization Management, finance and also key insights of travel and tourism industries in one curricula of University designed BHM in Nepal.

During the entire course they will learn:

Front office operation, food and beverage service, food production, housekeeping, front desk service, guest relations, bartending and beverage management, bakery, Hospitality Management information, marketing of hospitality industry and laws of hotel business in Nepal.

Bachelor of Hotel Management program comes with an industrial attachment work called internship program which is of minimum 6 months duration around 540 hours where students are assigned roles in different departments of real world hospitality industry to work and apply their learned skills and prepare a report of their work and observations. Students can select to do an internship from any two departments of a hotel in Nepal.

The submission of the following documents is compulsory for the successful application for admission into the Bachelor of Hotel Management (BHM) course:

  • Academic transcripts and character certificates for both Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SLC) or Secondary Education Examination (SEE) and 10+2 or Pre-College Level (PCL) qualifications.
  • Equivalence and transfer certificates, if applicable, for candidates with qualifications from foreign educational boards.
  • Two recent passport-sized photographs.
  • The entrance score sheet administered by the respective university.
