Objective of BNS Midwifery
The objectives of the study in the Bachelor program of Nursing Science in Midwifery program for the students are:-
- Production of competent multi-skilled graduates in nursing and midwifery training institutions.
- Provide equitable and accessible health services to individuals, families, and community.
- Offer respectful, flexible, and anticipatory care for newborn babies and mothers to give a safe birth with good medical supervision.

Eligibility for BNS Midwifery
Must have completed Certificate level/Diploma in Nursing with at least 50 percent marks and be registered in Nepal Medical Council.
Scope of BNS Midwifery

Requirements for BNS Midwifery
Entrance Exam
- Prospective students must pass the entrance examination and should secure a minimum of 50 percent marks in the Medical Exam Common Entrance Exam at the Bachelor level.
For admissions the documents required are:-
- Certificates of academic qualification, academic transcripts SEE, Plus2, Diploma, PCL, and
- Character certificates.
- SLC/SEE certificate or its equivalent.
- A copy of their citizenship card or passport.
- The admit card for the entrance examination.
- Any documents submitted for reservation purposes.
- A certificate of equivalence for students who possess certificates from foreign institutions.
- Registration certificate with Nepal Nursing Council.
Scholarship:-
In accordance with Rule 20 of the National Medical Education Rules, 2077, the allocation of scholarship seats at the undergraduate level for the Government of Nepal will be distributed as follows:
- 55 percent of the seats will be assigned through open competition.
- 45 percent of the seats will be distributed based on specific categories as indicated below:-
- Female candidates: 33%
- Dalit candidates: 9%
- Adivasi janajati candidates: 15%
- Khas Aryan candidates: 17%
- Madhesi candidates: 12%
