In 1982, the collaborative effort of the former His Majesty's Government of Nepal and the Swiss Government culminated in the establishment of Jiri Technical School (JTS). This pivotal institution was founded with the core objective of elevating the rural communities' quality of life by imparting pertinent and high-quality skills in Health, Construction, and Agriculture Trades. These skills are tailored for immediate practical application and the pursuit of self-employment.

Nestled in the picturesque Jiri valley of Dolakha, approximately 200 KM to the east of Kathmandu, Jiri Technical School (JTS) enjoys an untarnished environment and a serene atmosphere devoid of pollutants. This serene setting doubles as a tourist attraction, often referred to as the "Switzerland of Nepal."
