Bachelor of Travel And Tourism Studies
PU AffiliatedKathmandu Academy of tourism and hospitality offers Bachelor in travel and tourism studies of Purbanchal University. This is a four years eight semesters program of 147 total credit hours. It provides knowledge of hospitality and tourism industries from interdisciplinary management, finance, economics, mathematics, and legal fields. The study of the program provides knowledge and skills to handle businesses of public and private sectors. It also provides knowledge of macro level planning and development of tourism studies, international travel information and facilitation, modern issues in this field and offers area of specializations from hotel management, meeting, incentive, conference and exhibition, history culture heritage tourism and adventure tourism.
Master of Tourism Studies
PU AffiliatedKathmandu Academy of Tourism and Hospitality offers Master of Business Studies two years full time course of Purbanchal University. It produces professional and dynamic manpower for ever evolving tourism sectors of public and private spheres. It provides knowledge of entrepreneurship, ethical aspects, business communication, marketing, project planning and management, trends and issues in the tourism sector. It allows one to gain specialization knowledge from airlines management, eco-tourism, hospitality management, MICE tourism, Strategic management and dissertation works.
Katmandu Academy of Tourism and Hospitality popularly known as KATH was established in 2002 to fulfill the need of trained human resources required for the country. KATH is affiliated with Purbanchal University. Tourism is the rapidly emerging key sector of national economy. This course mainly focuses to maintain the excellence of knowledge and skills required by the students to efficiently operate both the private and public sectors of tourism. Katmandu Academy of Tourism and Hospitality consists of well qualified and experienced teaching faculties which helps them to acquire necessary quality knowledge. KATH is the one and only educational institutes in Nepal offering both postgraduate and graduate level courses in tourism since its establishment. It not only focuses on theoretical learning but also provides them with required practical learning which is necessary. Katmandu Academy of Tourism and Hospitality has been established with the motto “Tourism for Peace and Prosperity”.
KATH provides bachelor degree in travel and tourusm studies and masters degree in tourism studies.
