Kathmandu University (KU) has been offering the Bachelor of Technology in Environmental Engineering degree since 2005. This program is designed to provide students with a foundational understanding of various environmental issues and equip them with the necessary skills to address these issues using environmentally friendly technologies.

The BTech in Environmental Engineering is an interdisciplinary program that covers a wide range of subjects, including basic sciences, socioeconomic and legal aspects, applied sciences, specialized courses, and elective subjects. Students are required to complete a total of 150 credit hours of study to fulfill the degree requirements.

In order to successfully complete the BTech Environmental Engineering program, students must achieve a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.0.
