Mid-western University School of Contemporary Studies offers Bachelor of Art in Nepali in four years eight semesters duration. This program provides psycho social and economic reality of Nepali society along with learning literary representation of Nepali social setting, applied Nepali Grammar, words, sentences, critical study of compositions in Nepali language, Nepali writing, poems, songs, essays, dramas, novels along with modern Nepali literature history, modern stories, poems critique, Nepali language and literature teaching and creative writing. It also allows students to write thesis work based on their study and from independent research field. 

Mid-Western University offers four years eight semesters Bachelor of Art in English program. This program provides graduates of the English language for professional fields of teaching, writing, communication, and journalism areas. It provides knowledge of fundamentals of English, study of literature, poetry, the grammar of English, history of English literature, English drama, fiction, short fiction, literary theory, translation, literary essays, practical criticism, prose writing, literature and language teaching, and thinking, reasoning and problem-solving skills. It also gives light in areas of Chinese literature in English, writing for the media, research work along with teaching in the English language and literature field.
