Nepal Law Campus

Nepal Law Campus is the oldest college under the Faculty of Law affiliated with Tribhuvan University. It was established in 1954 A.D. by Prof. Ram Raj Pant and is located at the heart of Kathmandu on Exhibition Road. As the oldest institution that has been imparting legal education in the country, it has made many contributions to evolving legal education and bringing about the system of ‘rule of law’. The campus also boasts a proud history of graduates who have not only provided the highest level of leadership for the judiciary system but also other mechanisms both nationally and internationally.

The courses offered are taught by excellent lecturers, professors, and readers with accomplished backgrounds in government, private, and judiciary practice. The college has produced thousands of law graduates who have held the highest positions in legal and administrative sectors, such as the Attorney General of Nepal, Chief Justice of Nepal, Justices of the Supreme Court, judges, and judicial officers in Nepal. Besides this, the graduates have also held positions as known advocates and acclaimed academicians at various renowned universities in the country and around the world.

It offers three-year Bachelor of Laws (LLB), five-year Bachelor of Arts Bachelor of Laws (BA LLB), and two-year Master of Laws (LLM) programs.

Facilities

It has its own well-furnished and equipped library with text books, reference books, law journals, gazettes, Nepal Law Reports (NLR), and an e-library. Besides this, the students can visit different libraries, such as the Central Library of T.U. Kirtipur, the Central Law Jamal, the Supreme Court, the Nepal Bar Association, the Office of the Attorney General of Nepal, the Nepal Bar Council, and the Ministry of Law. As additional benefits, the individuals here are allowed access to the American Information Center and the SAARC Library as well. The professors, researchers, and students have free access to a high-speed Wi-Fi zone.

It also has well-furnished classrooms that are equipped with multimedia projectors. The campus also has a separate moot court room and a seminar hall. Also within the campus premises, you can find a computer lab with the latest computers and internet facilities. There are indoor and outdoor games that are offered to the students. The college also offers its own medical facility dispensary for primary health services. The primary health service could be provided to all the individuals who require it.
