This program aims to prepare middle level lab technology personnel who can perform routine and special lab investigations based on clinical and non-clinical samples independently. They are able to explain the underlying principles of each investigation, set up clinical labs in primary health centers and district levels and perform quality control systems in medical labs. The subjects are basic science foundation subjects, basic lab subjects, and knowledge with practical settings of medical lab and hospitals. Medical lab technicians will be able to perform routine diagnostic tests, clean and maintain medical lab equipment.
