BE Geomatics Syllabus ( Bachelor of Engineering in Geomatic Engineering)

Bachelor degree in Geomatics Engineering are made available from Tribhuvan University, Kathmandu University and Purbanchal University. At TU, it is a four years program. This course will ultimately produce Geomatic Engineers who can work in Government agencies, Colleges and Universities.Topics covered in geomatics are surveying that help to measure contours i.e. vertical and horizontal distance of mountains, structural analysis of soil and their conditon for construction Management and planning cost of construction, maps, Global positioning systems and global navigation satellite systems, measuring and interpreting photographicimages of various locations, tackling the least square adjustments, satellite installation and sensing, accessing natural hazard conditions of a site, understanding mapping technology and map design, familiarizing the coordinates systems with vertical and horizontal positioning and valuation with sales, leasing and taxation to collect revenue of land are under the study dimensions of undergraduate studies of Geomatics Engineering. All Universities of Nepal as mentioned above have familiarzed the theoritical and practical aspects of geomatics Engineering in their pedagogy. Mathematical knowledge have also found a significant place in the academic curriculum designed by the aforementioned Universities.
