BTTM Syllabus ( Bachelor of Travel and Tourism Management)

Bachelor in Travel and tourism is a four years Undergraduate program that provides education and knowledgeable human resource for travel and tourism sector. Tribhuvan University, Lumbini Buddhist University and Mid-Western University run this program in Nepal. 

TU designed curriculum for students to enter hospitality industry as middle Management level employees and serve the travel and tourism sector. BTTM syllabus of Lumbini Buddhist University sheds more focus on international tourism service operations including handling, Managing , implementing and sustaining tourism Management policies. BTTM syallabus of Mid Western University focuses on wide variety of services provided by the current travel and tourism industry for developing knowledge and skils functional in those areas.

bttm Syllabus - TU

Tribhuvan University (TU) offers a BTTM course through its Faculty of Management (FoM). It is a 4-year undergraduate program with a total of 8 semesters. 

The total number of credit hours for the BTTM course that any student has to complete to get the degree is 126 hours. The program's curriculum is made up of four separate course components which are listed in the table below:

Key Points for Students:

Here are a few key points that the student might find beneficial: 

  • They are entitled to both the credit transfer and withdrawal. They have to contact the concerned administration if they choose to do so. 
  • Students should have a minimum of 80% attendance in both practical and theoretical classes to attend the end-semester examination. 
  • Students must also have at least 80% attendance during Industrial Exposure in the eighth semester.
  • If students are unable to pass the end-semester examination in one or more subjects they can appear for the chance examination.
