Master of Science in Physics is a two year program. This variety of M.Sc. program is provided by the Tribhuvan University (T.U) of Nepal. This program is based on the semester system and has altogether four semesters in total. The four semester course is equivalent to 60 credit hours. Physics is a very exciting subject which deals with the smallest atom of the vast universe. In this degree, students will gather impressive knowledge from billions of galaxies to very tiny electrons and protons, from quantum to cosmos. From knowledge of gravitational law to thermodynamics, from numerous stars to subatomic particle, from energy to mass, these are some of the major curiosity of an enthusiastic Physics student. In order to provide the scientific answer and solution for all this major curiosity of students, this course was designed. In this course, students are imparted with the in depth knowledge of theory as well as practical subject matters of physics.
The degree has been upgraded as per the syllabus of B. Sc. four year programs. Different core courses along with several elective courses are taught to students and new areas of study are also explored. This master level course has been revised and upgraded to meet the minimum quality of international standard.
