Bachelor in Geomatics Engineering | TU

The Bachelor in Geomatics Engineering program, also known as Geospatial Engineering, is offered by the Department of Civil Engineering at the Western Regional Campus in Pokhara. This campus is a constituent campus of Tribhuvan University. The program is designed to be completed in four years, consisting of eight semesters with a total duration of 48 months.

Geomatics engineering is a rapidly growing field that focuses on spatial information refering to the data which has a specific location. Geomatics engineers are trained to analyze and collect spatial information related to land, water, natural resources, and manmade features. They use advanced tools such as digital theodolites, GPS (Global Positioning System), and GIS (Geographic Information System) to design, develop, and operate systems for capturing and visualizing this information. Geomatics engineering has revolutionized surveying practices by incorporating these advanced technologies.

In terms of the fee structure, the regular students with scholarships are required to pay approximately Rs. 8,300 per semester, while full-paid students need to pay around Rs. 75,700 per semester. Additionally, there may be some minor additional costs associated with the program affiliated with Tribhuvan University.
