Bachelor of Information Management | TU

Bachelor of Information Management (BIM) at TU is a four-year program over eight semesters. This course, offered by Tribhuvan University, is designed to integrate IT and management. It entails studying the use of communication systems in business administration and decision-making.

Admission Requirements in Bachelor of Information Management

Written Test:

Eligible candidates should appear in the CMAT test (Central Management Aptitude Test) conducted by the Faculty of Management (FoM), similar to the BBA entrance examination. The test follows international testing standards and includes questions from the following four sections:

  2. Quantitative Technique Analysis
  3. Logical Examination
  4. General Knowledge and Awareness Testing

The test consists of 100 objective questions, with 25 questions in each of the four sections. Students must secure at least 40% marks to pass the exam and qualify for the interview.

Interview:

Students who score a minimum of 40% marks will be called for an interview, and a select few will be admitted based on the merit list.

Various institutions specializing in the preparation of the entrance exam provide classes in different shifts to familiarize them with the test. Eligibility

Candidates applying for admission to the Bachelor of Information Management (BIM) course at Tribhuvan University should abide by the following procedures:

  1. Candidates are required to have finished their Plus 2 or an equivalent level from any university or board acknowledged by TU.
  2. Candidates who wish to pursue BIM should have at least a D+ grade in every subject at the +2 level with a CGPA of 1.80 or more or secure a second division at the 10+2 level, PCL, or its equivalent program. However, it is observed that colleges prefer enrolling students who have achieved a first division.
  3. They must follow all the application procedures and guidelines required for the entrance examination.
